EP14: Karen Salmansohn: From An Award-winning Designer To Inspiring Millions With Her Books

This week’s guest is the most amazing, extraordinary woman who is so creative, so visual and such a genius with words and putting together stories that will make your heart feel like it’s being heard.

Her name is Karen Salmansohn and she used to be an amazing creative director in advertising working with celebrities like Jon Stewart, Goldie Hawn, Madonna, Tony Robbins, and so many more. She had this incredible advertising career but it wasn’t enough for her plus it was a very, very aggressive environment so she decided to leave in her late 20s and started her full-time career in writing.

Let me just say that it took a  lot of belief and courage on her part because her advertising career was quite successful, she’s behind some highly successful and memorable advertising campaigns you’d likely recognize and remember. But she started on this journey of writing books and selling millions of copies. I can’t wait for you to listen to this conversation as we talk about relationships, partners, having children late in life and what we can learn from the zig-zags (as she calls them) and where they lead us if we let them. She’s a woman that goes after her dreams and she’s unstoppable.

“We zig-zag our way to happiness.” (Click to tweet!)
~ Karen Salmansohn

If you are looking for ways to turn your challenges and losses into learning opportunities and launching pads, this conversation is not to be missed!

I hope the one thing you will take with you is that, just like Karen said to slow down in sharing our vulnerabilities and to use our maturity that comes with age to explore our worlds and our future. I’m inspired by her and impressed by her abilities. I’m excited to watch her movies. If you want something in your life, go out and get it just like Karen did.

I’d love to hear what you think of this conversation and how you see it translating to your own life. Where are the zig-zags in your life leading you next? Be sure to comment below or connect with me on Instagram to tell me all about it.
