EP5: Michelle Steinke-Baumgard: From Her Husband's Unexpected Tragic Loss To A Life Of Adventure And Healthy Living
I want to introduce you to one of my very dear friends Michelle Steinke-Baumgard, she is an author, speaker, coach, mother, and a re-married widow. After losing her husband Mitch in a plane crash in 2009, she turned to exercise as an outlet for grief and a way to handle stress. Exercise has become much more than just a way to keep her body healthy and strong, it’s a way for her to connect to her soul and to create a beautiful community.
“I exercise because it changes my soul.” (Click to tweet!)
~ Michelle Steinke-Baumgard
I remember the first time I saw Michelle online, it was like this energy just jumped right into me through the screen. I saw her message and thought, “this woman is here to stay.” It actually compelled me to reach out to her which I don’t usually do.
Her positive energy and love for life is contagious and she is so open and honest about how she dealt with the loss of her husband and how she’s found her way out of the Waiting Room.
She has inspired tens of thousands of women to take over their bodies and their health, especially after a loss. She is passionate about people’s lives, health and the choices we make after a loss. I am so proud of her. Our conversation is truly extraordinary.
I can’t wait to hear what you think about our discussion around dating after loss, blending families (Yes, we go there!) and her own health crisis that led her back to making herself a priority. Please connect with me on Instagram to let me know what you thought of this conversation.
