Ep. 65: Amit Goswami Ph.D.: A conversation About Life, Death and Healing with a Theoretical Physicist

In today’s episode, I am so happy to introduce you to Amit Goswami Ph.D. is a spiritual teacher who describes himself as a Quantum Activist in search of Wholeness. I first found Amit’s work when my first husband died in 2006 as I was looking for answers. His many books and ideas will transform how you see not only your life, but also death and time and space. Even during a virtual conversation the energy of love and kindness emanates from him.

This conversation may challenge you and I hope that you will come along with us with a sense of curiosity and possibility. Some of the questions and topics that we cover during our time together include; what is the essence of a person, what remains and what goes when someone dies, and the connection between meaning and purpose in our lives.

Dr. Goswami shares his ideas about the healing properties of nostalgia and how it can offer new meaning to old experiences, an idea I’m certain many in my community can relate to and find comfort in. As well as what mediums and channels are actually connecting to when they communicate with the loved ones that we have lost.

“Nostalgia provides new meaning to an old experience. Therefore, it is a healing experience for us. It adds color and new direction to our life.” ~ Amit Goswami Ph.D.

We speak about grief and love and what Dr. Goswami calls non local connection, which is ultimately that intangible feeling we have with some people that we find hard to explain. We also talk about the need for the body and mind to be in constant connection and the importance of allowing our cells to live out their purpose for optimal physical and immune health.

This is a mind altering and expansive conversation. Dr. Goswami’s work has been very impactful and influential in my own life and I hope that it opens you up to new ideas and concepts as well. More About Amit Goswami Ph.D.

Amit Goswami is a retired professor of physics from the University of Oregon where he served from 1968-1997. In 1985, he discovered the solution to the quantum measurement problem and developed a science of experience explaining how consciousness splits into subject and object. Subsequently, he developed a theory of reincarnation and integrated conventional and alternative medicine within the new quantum science of health. Among his discoveries are the quantum theory of the creative process, the theory of quantum evolution, the theory of quantum economics that extends Adam’s Smith’s capitalism into a workable paradigm for the 21st century, and the theory of quantum spirituality based on an exploration of wholeness.

In 1999, he started a movement called quantum activism, now gaining ground in North and South America, Southern and Eastern Europe, and India. In 2018, he and his collaborators established Quantum Activism Vishwalayam, an institution of transformative education in India, based on quantum science and the primacy of consciousness.

Amit is the author of numerous books, most notably: The Self-Aware Universe, Physics of the Soul, The Quantum Doctor, God is Not Dead, Quantum Creativity, The Everything Answer Book, and Quantum Spirituality (with Valentina Onisor, MD). He was featured in the movie What the Bleep Do We Know!? and the documentaries Dalai Lama Renaissance and The Quantum Activist.

Amit is a spiritual practitioner and calls himself a quantum activist in search of Wholeness.

You can connect with him via his website, Twitter, and Facebook.
