EP21: Rachel Lyons: How Space Can Be Our Healing Ground

This week I have an extraordinary conversation to share with you. I’m joined by Rachel Lyons the Executive Director of an incredible organization called Space for Humanity. The Mission of Space for Humanity is to cultivate a global community of citizen astronauts who transform the world as social impact ambassadors.

In our conversation today, we talk about the feeling of space and the overview effect. We talk about what it means to go out there and see Earth from the infinite world and how that experience changes everything for those that have seen and felt it. We imagine and envision how the world could change if the perspective of people who have been to space could spread and more of us could truly feel how meaningless AND how miraculous this human experience is.

Rachel shares with me the moments that changed her personal perspective and set her on this path of making space available to everyone as a means to changing the world. We talk about why she is spending her life on this mission and why and how Rachel and her team are sending thousands to space. This is a unique but extraordinary conversation that will change your life.

“I envision a world in which all humans feel related because we recognize the fact that we live on a special and finite planet.” (Click to tweet!)

~ Rachel Lyons

I can’t wait for you to listen to this conversation and to be inspired. Perhaps it will allow you to zoom out a bit and gain a new perspective for your own life, or maybe you will be pulled to apply to become a citizen astronaut yourself!

I’d love to hear what you think of this conversation. Be sure to comment below or connect with me on Instagram to tell me all about it.
