EP22: Dr. Maya Shetreat, MD: Connecting The Visible And Invisible World Through Nature
Today’s guest is the remarkable Dr. Maya Shetreat, MD. When I first met Maya I thought she could be my best friend. I was so taken with the way she shows up in the world and her rebellious side of doing things in her life that are true to her, even if others don’t approve or understand. Maya is a western trained medical doctor and she is a woman that lives her life listening to the sounds of the universe and touching the earth and being connected to it.
During our conversation she shares with me various initiation points (as she calls them) in her life that have led to radical shifts such as a health crisis with her son and her divorce. She talks about the connection she feels with the invisible world and how that has guided her during these hardest moments of her life. Maya also talks about why she thinks in recent times many have lost this connection to the spiritual world and whether or not we’ll find it again.
~ Maya Shetreat, MD
Maya believes in heart intelligence and the idea that we can alchemize our greatest losses and darkest moments into wisdom, gifts and even our superpowers. I especially loved speaking to her about how she has used this wisdom to stay connected to her integrity and making hard choices, when it could have been easier to stay the course and tow the line.
I can’t wait for you to listen to this conversation and to be inspired. I hope that it will spark an idea or maybe encourage you to be a little bit more rebellious in your own life!
I’d love to hear what you think of this conversation. Be sure to comment below or connect with me on Instagram to tell me all about it.
